Every morning our award winning bakers arrive early – in Fairhaven, these days – to start creating the best croissants, scones, cookies, tarts, cakes and other baked treats available in Bellingham.
Our cafe menu is unique and features a variety of both local and organic ingredients. In the mornings, you’ll sometimes see local farms showing up with their produce, eggs, meats, mushrooms, apples, ciders and so on. We serve a wide variety of savory and sweet crepes, our nearly famous eggs Benedict (served over a Belgian waffle over roasted potatoes and topped with the best homemade Hollandaise). We also serve hot and cold sandwiches and delicious soups made from scratch, both with homemade bread.
We also pride ourselves on having great coffee. Come try our “Mount Bakery Blend”, a locally roasted, Fair Trade certified and delicious mix of Ethiopian, Honduran and Sumatran beans. You might like it so much you’ll want to take a whole bag of coffee home with you.
For a special treat try our “Moliere” – it’s a mocha but not like any other in town – ours are made with Belgian chocolate ganache melted on the stove and it is so delicious and rich that it needed a name of its own.
